That's How We Hike!

Today in conversation class, my students built their own story. It went something like this:

My friend and I took a trip to hike a mountain.
Our car had a flat tire on the way.
So we fixed the flat tire and continued on our trip.
We went up the mountain.
We stopped for breakfast.
Then we had coffee.
After that, we went home.

Because isn't the point of a mountain climb coffee and breakfast?

Okay, okay, it was the end of class, but still, I love the focal point of the trip.

"What about second breakfast?" These guys know about second breakfast.

Also note that they had breakfast on the mountain. That is another cultural phenomenon: eating breakfast as part of your trip, rather than before. It's great.

I love this story!

And I love the breakfast as part of the trip too -- that would simplify so many family excursions!
