Our final day on our southern trip was really just supposed to be spent traveling back. But on the way we thought we'd just take a detour and check out Job's tomb, and a worthwhile detour it was. This was the day I fully admitted that this part of this country could look like the west. It was beautiful in entirely different ways than the scenery we had seen the previous two days.
It looked like Europe to me, but the mosques add a different twist to the scenery.
The misty, moisty mountains. (Later it got too foggy to even capture views like these.)
And finally, Job's tomb. Which is really probably not Job's tomb. But it was a great reminder to me that God finds faith in the most remote places.
The rest of the day we spent driving home. We retraced our steps from the drive down, but we got to admire the desert in daylight. It was actually quite spectacular because the sand is almost white and stretched forever under the blue sky.
We arrived home 8:00-ish, I think, tired but so happy for the chance to go on such an adventure together!

I wish I could click the "cheer" button multiple times for all the cheering I want to do about this trip! Hurray!
And all that lush green stuff! Oh my word! SO beautiful! Love those first few pictures especially--I think the second and third ones are my favorites : )
