Before I tell you about my recent road trip, I thought it appropriate to post a couple of views from my own city. It's hard for me to take pictures of daily life out and about because I live here. I pass these same beggars on this same bridge or this same guard on this same corner every day. Imagine yourself hauling your camera to the post office to take a picture of your postal clerk, or to WalMart or to the center of Keene or your workplace. It would be weird. So that's why you don't see more daily life pictures, though I know that you want to see them and will try to break out of my box sometime.
The first view is from my rooftop a while after sunset. The second two are from a friend's rooftop a bit after sunset. Actually, it probably wasn't technically yet sunset. The sun disappears from view behind the mountains well before it actually sets below the horizon.
