Church is Good

God has settled me down in the same morning church after a couple of years of bouncing around other churches in search of where He wanted me to go while in Indianapolis. It can't compare to my church back home, but a few things I love about it, not in any particular order . . .

  • It's small
  • It's humble
  • It's humbling (in the sense that it's not as comfortable as some other churches with more routine, and in the sense that the people on fire for Jesus don't necessarily fit stereotype)
  • It's unpredictable
  • It honors the work of the Holy Spirit
  • It's alive
  • God speaks through His Word
  • God's peace is there
  • The people are real
  • The testimonies can be as good as the sermons
  • Praise is prominent
  • Praise is hearty
  • People care about each other
  • Age is irrelevant
  • I'm still meeting "new" people
  • People are hungry for Jesus
  • It reminds me of churches I've been in overseas
