Yesterday I read in Joshua, "Joshua waged war a long time with all these kings" (11:18, NAS). For Joshua, the victory didn't come in an instant. And he was Joshua--the great conqueror, filled with God's strength! This gives hope for me. There are things in me that I want to have been changed yesterday. Yet I don't see God working that way in me. I don't ever want to be content with slow change in my life, but neither do I want to try to hasten something that God is allowing to be a process, or to become discouraged in that process.
It also gives hope for other situations that appear impossible. The way things look by my timetable can be very deceiving. The work of the Great Conqueror is advancing still.

Wow. I really enjoyed "A Nugget from Joshua." *tear* *sob* I miss you so much...but I'm so glad you got a blog b/c now I can be encouraged by that. :)
I liked how we're supposed to be doing God's will but not pushing Him to make it go faster. I think I"m learning that right now...
Love you lots and am praying for you!
