The other evening I misplaced my cell phone. I was afraid I had dropped it in one of the half-dozen stores my roommate and I have gone through that evening. I prayed that God would help me find it. Two minutes later, I called it from her cell phone, and it rang under the seat of her car.

Thanksgiving morning, Alyssa and I decided to take a trip to the country next door because a surprise national holiday was declared, canceling three days of English classes. The connections seemed complicated, though. Alyssa would drive to a border city, but then we'd have to get across the border and catch a taxi to catch a bus, then find the metro and connect with the bus that would take us to our hosts' home. I'm pretty sure I asked in my quiet time for God to provide someone to drive us there. A few hours later, a friend texted me and offered to drive us from the border town to the city we would stay in. We would have to go the morning after we had planned, but we could stay with her in the meantime. That worked out far better than I could have asked or hoped. It gave us Thanksgiving dinner with Americans, a good after-dinner game of Catchphrase, and opportunity to Skype with my family and extended family after drying a mountain of dishes.

If Father answers these "small" prayers so quickly and nicely, I can believe that He is answering all of my prayers, even if I don't yet see all of the answers!
