- The church convention was fantastic. I was very glad that God let me not be working so that I could attend the whole thing! Highlights? Too many to elaborate on, but Dale N.'s meeting, Craig's meeting, Paul B.'s meeting, women's meeting, singing in choir, and Mary & Brandon's house party had to be near the top of the list.
- I've lost track of the number of resumes I've sent away. The interview count is still at three (not counting recruiter meetings at temp agencies), and the rejection letter count is also at three.
- "Aunt" Linda A. gave me gardening work, which kept me occupied for 25 hours this month! Being outside and digging around in the earth has been wonderful therapy for someone who mostly worked desk jobs for the past 10 years.
- I've enjoyed chances to hang out with the Bible School students some--in the dorm, at meals, and so forth.
- I got to be a part of Fairwood's annual Applesauce Day for the first time in 12 years! The movie at the link gives you a taste of what Applesauce Day is like. (It's Craig's documentary from last year's Applesauce Day, so it doesn't have me in it.)
- I've gotten to hang out with my family quite a lot. Since I'm still relatively unemployed, Mom is taking pity on me and letting me eat two meals a day at home. I chip in money toward food, and I get home-cooked meals and great fellowship!
When family decides to unwind by watching a movie, Kendra watches too--while sorting through her belongings from the attic! I'm making fair progress on the attic organization, which is a good feeling. - I acquired a car! I can't say "bought," because my parents bought it. They're calling it mine, though, and I plan to pay them for it as I can. It's a blue '96 Honda Civic, and I like it very much. The mileage is quite high, but it has been well maintained; so we trust that it has a lot of miles in it still. Looking at cars, then registering and insuring this one--quite a process!
- Rachel A. finished training me in layout and design for Times of Restoration, the church magazine. I also trained on the production angle, with Bonnie S. Bonnie will be doing most of production, but I wanted to know how to do it. I'm happy to let her man the chopper (trimmer)! (Shudder. That thing could take a hand off in two seconds.)
- I attended the local CareNet annual fundraising banquet last week. I'm glad to know what God is doing through that ministry in this region. It was also a nice time to visit with Ruth M. and Craig.
- My parents went away this past weekend for their 35th anniversary. So Craig, Kayla, and I went to Chad's and partied! Well, we didn't really party, but we did go to a Central football game, watch a movie, and eat pizza. I also joined Chad for part of a Central soccer game and for the Class L guys' and girls' cross-country meet. (Central's girls won!)
After returning from Chad's, Craig, Kayla, and I went to the Pumpkin Festival in Keene. It was my first time going! It was worth going at least once. I'll try to post pictures once my thumb drive arrives.
- I'm moving toward working for Phoenix Academy part time. They're waiting for my references and background check to clear. (Could be quite a process, I know!) My shifts there would be 5-11 PM on Saturdays, 3-11 PM on Sundays, and 7 AM-3 PM on Mondays. That leaves me quite a bit of weekday time, so I'm still looking for more work.
- I did a short proofreading job for Math-U-See. It's fun to pull out the ol' Chicago and do proofing work again!
- I was fingerprinted for my application to substitute teach at Central. I think I might be crazy, but I'm working toward being eligible.

Life Goes On
Yes, I'm still alive and kicking. Here's a brief summary of my life in the last month, lest you doubt.
