Just a quick note to wish a happy 35th anniversary to the best parents I could ask for! They've shown me Jesus both individually and as a couple. I'm so glad that God told Dad, "This is the one," and I'm glad that Mom was the one standing to give the testimony at that moment. :-) If He hadn't, you wouldn't be reading this blog.
They have modeled genuine love to me for the 33 years I've known them. Dad has always been the head of the house, and Mom has always let him be. They've also made marriage and family look fun. Yes, we kids have seen them argue on occasion; but we've also heard Dad call Mom "beautiful" at least a hundred times, and we've seen them kiss, even when we didn't want to. (One time when Clyde was a small thing, they kissed in front of us, which provoked his oft-quoted exclamation, "Oh! Shocking!")
May they have a wonderful day and many more wonderful years to come!
