Forgive the dearth of posts! These pictures are from a Friday outing two weeks ago to a village about 45 minutes from my house. We visited the ruins of an old castle, and our guide took us to his old family homestead. Pretty much anyone over 25-35 spent some childhood in an old stone house, and they are usually proud to show these off. Note the beautiful painting on the palm wood rafters! Of course we lunched in the family's current house. Most of the old stone houses are abandoned now.
