I'm going to try to update a little more regularly (fingers crossed)!
- Games in class with my students, especially when they get into them
- My student's wife (who also happens to be my good friend) sending sweets to class for all of us
- Finding out that one of my students works in a juvenile prison!!!
- Having the whole class derailed into Arabic for about five minutes while above-mentioned student's classmates plied him with questions, because they were as curious as I was!
- Talks with Kayla and Chad
- Positive things on Facebook
- Sabbath & rest
- Rediscovering D.E. Stevenson, because some of her books are now on NH Downloadable Books!
- Being 6-8 pounds down from what I was in December-February!!! I'd felt like buying a scale was too expensive and unnecessary before Mom came, but I think she made a comment that made me realize that it might be a good accountability tool, and it's been a good investment!
- My computer is fixed, and I'm more or less used to Windows 8 (which I was forced to buy due to a lack of Windows 7 being available for a reasonable price after the crash)
- The fact that my students couldn't spell "mosque" correctly. Well, I think they missed "church," too, and they all failed to identify "temple" (Buddhist).
- I get to study Arabic in the morning!!! After two and a half years, I still love it. I think I'm in the right place.
- Imagining going home next month. Much as I love my life here, I'm so happy to reconnect with family and friends at home. I won't even try to list all the names of people I'm looking forward to seeing, but my top three food items that I'm looking forward to consuming are
1. Kimball's ice cream
2. Greek yogurt (Chobani--yum!)
3. Hood eggnog, if I can even find it. I actually don't think I've ever had it before, but Danny was craving it around Christmas, and ever since he told me about it, I've wanted some, too.
4. Well, vegetables would be a fourth. Because I don't eat enough of them here. Not because they aren't plentiful, but because I don't buy them or cook them or something. Being at home, I'll have more positive peer pressure to eat them.

Hmm, I was just going to say I'll treat you to Kimball's, but then I read about the vegetables...
Maybe I'll treat you to Kimball's and a bag of baby carrots!?!?!?
One way or another, I'm treating you to Kimball's as soon as we can get there!
