Now that I've processed the harder things, I can express gratefulness for the good things!
- Forgiveness
- Chili and cornbread, courtesy of the ever-wonderful crock pot
- Dominoes Pizza's Sunday buy-one-get-one-free special that provides a week of dinners in a tight teaching schedule
- Andrea's chocolate chip ice cream!
- A clean apartment
- An Arabic teacher who is my friend
- My league of international brothers and sisters
- Anne, who still checks my blog even when I haven't updated in forever (maybe others of you, too!)
- 17 more students to love on and get to know
- My sister is coming here for six weeks this summer!
- NH Downloadable books. It's next-best thing to going to the library in person.
- Networking with friends back home
- Air-conditioning. I caught myself starting to sing to it the other day again
- American Dr. Pepper
- New friends, sometimes quite random
- Blogs I love
- Electricity and water--things you're more grateful for when you don't have them for a day or two
- Showing up at a wedding and momentarily thinking it was not the wedding I was invited to, then having the girl sitting with me tell me not to worry about it. It did end up being the right wedding, but her response was so typical!
- Walks in my neighborhood, even when it's really hot out and a creepy trash-picker makes me nervous
- Having my apartment more decorated. I really should take pictures one of these days.
- Mentally planning this summer's road trip to PA, OH, IN, WV and back!
- Being classed as "low advanced" in Arabic--falsely, I think, but still flattering
- Valentine's package from Hannah H.
- Package from Lydi and her nieces
- Package from Ruthie
- Steve & Betsy arriving back soon after a month away!
- Wandering around in the clothing shops nearby and chatting with the shopkeepers in Arabic. So refreshing after having been so immersed in English with my busier teaching schedule this month.
- Virtually unlimited internet
- Chats with family
- New scarves (I'm such a scarf junkie)
- A new Lifestyle store in town that sells Yankee Candles and pretty rings and great gifts for friends!
- My co-wife friends who really want to come and visit me. They are so cute!
- Les Mis the movie
- My ice cream maker
- My Beth Moore study ("Living Beyond Yourself")
- Snickers for Sabbath treat
- My Europoles shirt from my student!
- Water
- Sleep
