Switzerland

It was supposed to be cheaper to lay over in Switzerland on my way back to the Middle East. It didn't turn out to be, but I figure that God must have wanted me to go, because I wouldn't have gone if I didn't think it was going to be cheaper. I went to visit a former student and her family. It was a lovely little 24 hours with them on their farm.

Here's a taste of the Swiss countryside ...

The main farmhouse

Anja showing off some farm-grown berries

Malika and Anja next to one of the gardens

Raspberries!
I think they had me try every fruit currently growing on their grounds!

Cowbells. Yes, they each make a different sound so that you can tell what cow is where. Somehow I never realized that before.

The hayloft, a great place for tag

Simeon riding his bike ahead of us into the village when we went to visit the children's mother at her work

This was the closest I got to the Alps. Another time ...

Homes in the village. It's green, like home!

Saying goodbye again

Beautiful! So glad you thought it would save you money so you could take the chance! What a blessing for you AND them : )
