Major Catch Up Time

There's so much to blog about, then there's so much more to blog about. And soon enough I'm swamped and don't even try. So I need to chip away at catching up on the past six or eight weeks of my life. Has it only been that long?

Here are some pics from summer tripping with the family--on the way home from Clyde's wedding in Georgia, then on a short-and-sweet vacation in Maine.

My family at Kitty Hawk. A friend here told me that this picture makes me look really fat. No comments, please. She assured me that I do not look fat now, which was some small consolation.

This was the mail boat we rode for a very inexpensive couple of hours.

Two great siblings!

Ahh, gotta love Maine. But you should hear me trying to explain lighthouses in another language. "There are rocks, and this house tells the ship not to come." Yeah, my speech is about that primitive, except that even after showing lighthouses dozens of times, I still forget the words for "rocks" and "warns."

Beautiful!

And although you said "no comments please" you know I'm going to anyway: I love your tactless friends! Haha! But I'll say this, you do look better in real life (how's that? Better or worse?)

I never thought about "lighthouse" being so difficult, or being culturally unique for that matter! Interesting!
