- On a sub day, having a high school student show me the report card he had been handed the mod before, excited because he had passed his classes for the first time since 6th grade!
- Another student in that same class explaining to me that it was hard to work because he knew he'd be grounded for his report card grades. I am not rejoicing in the fact that he was not working, nor in the fact that he would be grounded, but in the fact that I sensed I needed to ask him what was wrong before jumping on him for not working, and in the fact that he trusted me enough to talk about what was wrong.
- A client being in such a good mood she didn't want our meeting to end . . . and also me having a chance to share some good bits of truth with her and feeling like she listened
- Eating ravioli out of a can
- Having four of the Adams sisters over for dessert on a Friday evening
- That NH Perspectives 2010 has 88 registered students--71 of them first-timers (What hath God wrought?!)
- That my car still runs
- Deuteronomy 8
- Making new friends through NH Perspectives
- Hulu
- Food in my larder
- A clean room and clean laundry
- For a sweet brother to stay with and ride into the parking garage with on sub days
- PBS's new "Emma"
- A winter Colts had I could wear if I wanted to tomorrow
- Heart group at Diane's--glass etching and glass stone painting
- Pumpkin dump cake
- Moving Times of Restoration out of the initial layout stage and into the editing stage (which means that it leaves my desk for a little while)
- The Winter Olympics are coming!
Okay, I really need to go do some Math-U-See proofing, then some Perspectives grading . . . then some exercising. I've found that I'm powerfully motivated to exercise when it's accompanied by watching something interesting at the same time. An hour of something sans commercials translates into 43 minutes of exercise--perfect! (Did you note that I like Hulu?) I'd love to be able to read while exercising, but I haven't figured out how to make that work with the health rider or the gazelle. Suggestions welcome, I think.

=) I can def relate to your client in #3. I felt the same way after several of my "Kendra Meetings" @ ITC.
