Happy Things

I am trying to do better at keeping the Happy Book updated, after a long silence. It's good, because it makes me notice more happy things, and I can pass those along to you all! These are all from me . . .

• Danicka, upon being accused of being insane for trusting God: "It's insane, but it's a nice kind of insane."
• Alyssa: "How much ice cream is left?
  Sarah: "Enough for five girls or two guys."
• Watching Mrs. Burks hammer a coconut open
• Making cakes side by side with Mrs. Burks
• Nate encouraging me with a thumbs up when I was getting nervous about my recital piece (in the middle of the recital)
• A piano recital in the past
• Playing a duet with Naomi
• "I wonder if you guys are more unsanitary than raw meat." --Alyssa, pondering whether bleach or Quat-San would be needed to clean the kitchen counter after Sarah and I had sat on it
• Jessica helping me out in so many ways
• Mrs. Rothenhauser inviting me to bake cakes with her
• Quick phone calls from Kerry Y.
• "It would be more sanitary to bake on the table or the counter than on the 13th floor." --Chef Grose, chiding me when I told him where I was taking the eggs from his cooler
