1)-3) Miscellaneous village shots (Do you know how much fun it was to be out in the countryside walking through villages!? It also gave me time to think--so many people, so few who have heard the best story ever. Could I live somewhere like this? I also did ask if anyone ever got k-napped there, and our guide assured us that they never had.)

5) A school--probably the nicest building in the village. By the way, I visited a girls' school in the old city last week, and boy, was it basic. All the classrooms had were banged up wooden benches and a banged up white board. Yet there was plenty of learning going on even without the bells and whistles!

Have I already said this? The scenery, especially in number 6, is just so very...foreign. It makes it more real how very far away you are from here (in a way that this blog very nicely counteracts).
