I've been on a little book kick, partially justified by the fact that I have a free one-month trial to Amazon Prime, and partly justified by the fact that I have a decision to make about certain future organizational affiliations (and thus can spend money earmarked for an overseas vision trip to help myself determine who I want to go with). So I bought myself the three titles highlighted in my "Currently Reading" sidebar, Teaching in a Distant Classroom; Muslims, Christians, and Jesus: Gaining Understanding and Building Relationships; and Daughters of Islam: Building Bridges with Muslim Women. I stayed up way too late the night before last reading Muslims, Christians, and Jesus. So far it's making a lot of sense!
And hey, I'm inspired to blog about my reading by the new Amazon Associates feature in Blogger, which allows me to link directly to images in Amazon, something I like to do regularly, anyway! So even though I would earn a small commission if you actually purchased one of these books through linking to Amazon through this blog, my primary motivation for using Amazon associates is for the beauty of being able to share titles and images with you much more easily!

These books look and sound great. We just came through a week-long missions conference at our church, and I was especially interested in the one couple's work with muslims in Turkey.
Let me know if/when and who you decide to go with on a mission trip. =)
Where is this linkage to Amazon you speak of?
I'd be interested in doing something like that for my reading blog.
Derrick, that's a super idea to link to Amazon from your book blog! Assuming your book blog is on Blogger, look under "Customize" and "Monetize," and you'll find an "Amazon Associates" option, which is what you want. You might also have to enable AdSense under that tab, too, so that Amazon Associates will work. Amazon has to review your blog to make sure it doesn't have objectionable content before they'll make you official, but it's a really simple process.
BTW...this is Abby Carman.
