Happy Things

  • Clyde's home for the summer!
  • Clyde not knowing who Emily Post was and Craig telling him it was Shawn's first wife
  • Clyde: "Going to an AA meeting was kind of weird, especially with my only experience being 'Finding Nemo.'"
  • Kimberly's home for the summer!
  • "I can't sing, but I can start IVs." --Donna H.
  • Bible School graduation, even though it's also sad in a way
  • Kayla's graduation and having fun people come that I don't normally see

  • The card the Phoenix kids made me when I left
  • The Phoenix kids giving me hugs when I left
  • My new client saying, "I don't care" when he was introduced to me
  • Going to Kimball's with a bunch of friends on a late spring eve (and four cars taking four different routes to get there)
  • The international dinner to wrap up Perspectives class, and Kayla, Lisa, and Sarah coming along
  • Mini-golf with the family (and Craig catching a loud frog with the net for the stray golf balls)
  • Surviving subbing at Central again
  • Remembering some of the students in classes
  • Having students from Romania and Albania in class at Central
  • Watching part of a Bollywood movie in two of Chad's classes and being in suspense over how it turns out
  • Central's Memorial Day assembly honoring graduates who have served in the military, especially those who were killed in action . . . and awarding a diploma to a WWII veteran who went to war in his senior year and never graduated
  • Sharing a movie ("Gridiron Gang") with the family that they haven't seen before (though it needs TV-G, and quite a lot of the movie ended up being silent)
  • Fairwood Reunion planning!
  • Lots of mosquito bites. That's happy because it means I've been outside more!
  • The Annual Dublin Memorial Day parade and how it's a big deal in a teensy town
  • Fixing dinners for myself and the brothers more than once in the week
  • Making banana cream pie ice cream in honor of Memorial Day
  • Watching an old "Tales of Avonlea" episode (the "Woman, you can go straight to . . . Halifax" one) and choking with laughter over the awful things Rachel Lynde says and has said to her
  • Aaron showing me a few things about html
  • Going to Diane's for dinner--enjoying her beautifully set table and her carnations
  • Playing and loving a new game, "Scrutineyes"
  • My apartment (have I said before how much I love it?! :-))
  • Talking to Frontiers about Frontiers
  • Having lots of math proofreading work
  • Procrastinating on proofreading Algebra I
Um, yeah . . . !
