Happy Things

Mostly from this week's Friday testimony meeting, but also one from work . . .
  • Stephen, thanking God for his earthling: "He's a great earthling; he knows that he can come to me for help when he needs it on his treasure hunt."
  • Gretchen, on a divine appointment with the UPS man in the grocery store: "I was shopping in the frozen food aisle, which is the same aisle as the alcoholic beverage aisle. We were on opposite sides of that aisle."
  • Brandon, thanking God for their newly working wood stove and the delight it brought to his "pyromaniac children": "We could have fire in the house before this, but it wasn't very safe."
  • Kate, thanking God for her Thanksgiving travels: "I'm thankful that we had safety, because there were a couple of times that we could have died."
Uncle Tim, from across the room: "Bobby?"
Bobby: "Ohhhh. I spared us then."
    Kate, indignant: "God spared us."
Bobby: "Yes, but I was His vessel."
  • Scott (PA staff) to C after Scott advised C that he would have a better chance at a job as a transporter if he cut his hair so that it wouldn't prevent him from being alert to a passenger pulling something on him and C replied that he would shoot the person who tried anything: "What if he's a ninja?"
