Saturday was a blothpickish day. For those of you who don't know, "blothpick" was a word coined by some combination of Dan M., Nate B., and Ben H. back in the early 90s to describe that let-down feeling after something exciting is over. Some of you who have no idea who Dan, Nate, and Ben are have learned the word and use it!
Anyway, Saturday was a blothpickish day because a lot of my long-term staff friends here at ITC were gone. Jessica went on vacation on Friday, Ruthie left on Saturday after a month-long visit (slumber party). So, not only did I go from two roommates to zero in one day, but Jill also moved out into her own apartment on the north side of Indianapolis. Naomi is home for her sister's wedding, Matt is home on vacation, Jamie is forever departed (to her new place in Ohio), and I was feeling alone. Not friendless, because all of the other girls on staff here are my friends. But lonely-ish--blothpickish.
It's such a useful word.

Blothpick is a majorly useful word.

"forever departed" sounds very morbid.
And . . . you need to come and visit! =) When the EQUIPers are gone . . . head this way. =)
It sure is!
(change of subject here) Looking forward to seeing you!
