Happy Things

From Alison, Jamie, Katheryn (via me), Matt, Micah, Tiffany, and me!

  • An LIT pleading with a monitor not to purple x their book, then asking if they could make "special arrangements" for their purple x-ing
  • Tiffany C. getting her banana stuck in her hair at breakfast
  • Katheryn getting a phone call from Kendra while in OK
  • "I wouldn't waste my film." -Adela, assuring us that she will help restore a good name to Refine by not taking pictures of guys
  • Lizee doing line running for me
  • "Can I just die?" -Kendra
"Yes, the sooner the better." -Matt
  • Josh Shipley demonstrating how his sister Paula is a boy magnet
  • "I have never, ever planned a birthday party for a girl." -Joshua Ku
  • A great outing with cool people
  • Beating a team in basketball while wearing slacks J
  • Ace standing up for me when I was being tormented
  • Requesting that Brian execute revenge on Brent for watering me with the hose, and finding out that Brian put him up to it
  • Joel describing [someone] as "peaches on steroids"
  • Joel's plan to raise team morale by buying 15 cans of Pringles
  • Peter, sharing what he has to be grateful for: "They only arrested 13 Germans at the World Cup"
  • Caleb letting me read his journal
  • Trying to figure out why Vladimir had a picture of "that girl" on his phone, then realizing that it was Mr. James' phone, and that Vladimir was going to report me to James for insulting his wife
  • Alex announcing, "My mom is sixty-five years old and turns sixty-seven next week!"
"What happened to sixty-six?" someone inquired.
    "Leap year!"
  • Tim, expressing the joy of his soul as he watered the flowers with a very large hose
  • Being told by an LIT of their fascination with the great battle in the heavens, when Michelangelo cast out Satan to the earth ("Go NINJA TURTLES!" -Matt)
  • People being bitter at Loren Elms for not approving their music--specifically the individual who decided, "Loren Elms is such a hypocrite. He probably drives up to the training center listening to his rap music. Then, when he gets to the parking lot, he switches over to that intermystical stuff . . . you know, where the people sing, 'LAA.'"
  • Chad's humor under stress (NONrepeatable!)
  • Kendra: Dad of all dads!
  • My team shoving me in the tub and turning the shower on during housekeeping
  • The way we girls don't like to be in charge of chores--and trying to convince Ashia why she should be in charge of line breakdown rather than me
  • Tabitha making me cry in our meeting (because she said something really encouraging)
  • Kayla is going to Australia with me!!!
  • Being serenaded by the "We love you, Kendra" song outside my office window

A few other happy things:

Talking to Tiffany Aukes!

Kendra updated her blog!

Reading about how God gives us words to minister with from someone on xanga who doesn't know who I am or didn't know I needed it.

So, *someone* (heh heh, I know who you are) finally got the same punishment as I did. A perfectly innocent person does housekeeping...other sly individualls push the innocent one into a tub...the shower gets turned on.

What can I say? We're priviledged aren't we?

That's a priviledge that I must say I'm glad I never experienced;)
It's awesome that Kayla gets to go to Australia with you! When are you going? I don't remember.
